6.2 Diesel Help
I finally got my 6.2 Diesel running in my crew cab. When I give it some throttle and then let off the throttle really fast the truck dies. It idles fine when i first start it up and if I don't ease off the throttle then it will die. If i hit the throttle and bring up the rpm and slowly let off it will stay running. The engine is a 84 Military 6.2, Not sure if it came out of a truck or blazer.
I also have a question about hydro-boost brakes. I bled my brakes with out the hydro-boost having any fluid in it. Now that the truck runs and I have some fluid in it the brakes will go all the way to the floor, but then the hydro-boost starts to push my foot back up, it does this very slow, is this because the system is not fully bled? How do you go about bleeding the system?

Re: 6.2 Diesel Help
You might find the answer over at dieselplace.com. Sounds like your lift pump might be going bad or your fuel filter(s) need to be replaced. If I have time, I'll look thru my haynes manual when I get home from work to see if there is anything about that too.
Not sure about the hydro boost. Is your power steering fluid at the right level.

Re: 6.2 Diesel Help
What kind of fuel filter do you have? I noticed in your pictures of everything that you had the box style... those things are a piece of crap. Change it out as soon as you can.
If that's not the problem, then I'm thinking that your IP might need gone through.
