Re: fuel filter location
Here is the way I did mine. Ran rigid steel line up to the front.

Re: fuel filter location
I thought about doing this when I was putting my fuel system together. I may end up installing a pre filter to protect the pump from trash. You never know what the gas station is going to give you.

Re: fuel filter location
Ya, unfortunately a filter isn't going to take ethanol out of gas, and thats the biggest crap they give you. I didn't run one before because I heard of issues involving restriction and pre-filters. Most of the aftermarket filters aren't designed for fuel injection (unless you look at the $$ ones), and are subject to collapse or restriction when trying to supply the fuel at the pressure we need.
255lph pumps aren't expensive and easy to replace, and it takes a pretty good amount of crap to kill a pump.

Re: fuel filter location
My main filter is off the rear of the frame before the pump, tho I need to install a bigger pump and may relocate. I also have another filter before the carb.

Re: fuel filter location
I was planning on running my filter on the drivers side to ease in installation and simplicity. I saw that street and performance mounted the fuel filter on drivers side of 85 c10 LS2 swap at customers request.

My frame is c-notched so there wasn't really room in the frame rail to access the filter and pump setup.
