gauge cluster wiring pin removal
ok, one more question and then I'll go away.
I have to rearrange a few gauge cluster pins in the harness to accommodate a different gauge cluster. Anyone know how to remove the wires (pins) from the gauge clip ghat plugs in the back of the cluster? Thank you Thank you Thank you. Peter |

Re: gauge cluster wiring pin removal
The connection pins have a little hook that grabs on to the plastic, I pushed the hook back a little with a needle. Then carefully wiggled them out. Canīt remember if they go back towards the cables or forward.

Re: gauge cluster wiring pin removal
You can buy a specialty tool for that as well (it's also an excuse to buy tools....). I have also used a straightened out small paper clip. Basically push the wire up into the connector, release the tab with the tool of your choice, and pull the wire back.
p.s.- stay as long as you like. No need to go anywhere.
