anyone ever used air bag cups for the front

i was wondering if anyone has ever used the cups to air bag the front of our trucks? if you have what size cup did you use for the top and botom. i am running 20's on my truck so i want it to lay about an inch off the ground. any help will be appreciated

I have seen one 73-87 with cups on top. Personaly preference I prefer the plate top mount for ease.

You can run any size cup you want but there are rivets the the cup will hit on so it wont sit flat, I grounded down my rivets and now my cups sit flat. You can cut up your crossmember to go however low you want. Your top cup you can make all different sizes. depends if you run a lower cup or not. You understand what I'm saying.

so its ok to use cups? what do you do when you need to change a tire or something? they wont fall out?

You set up your control and air bag to have a limit it can strectch. Meaning you use your shock as the limiter. When I change my tires I inflate my bags all the way so I dont have to use the jack as much. As long as you putt air pressure in the bag it is going to stay there and even if you do drain the air they will not complete collapse down. They will go to there normal height.

With any sleeve bag make sure you put a limiter strap on it, cause if you dont and have air in the bag it will go BOOM! It will probably go BOOM when your under the car.

i had a set of sleeve bags on the back of my pontiac....DO WHAT FASTBAGGED 68 said and use a limiter strap if your using a rolling sleeve air bag...i didn't and popped one.........and BOY did it POP!....sounded like a shotgun! ordered another bag and this time used limiters....haven't had a problem since...

are double convulted bags as vunerable to popping or are they a lot stronger?

Depends on were you run the bags- the front bags are always Double Conv. Rear can be sleeve. You run the sleeve on either the rearend or behind axel. You run Double Conv. in front of the axel and make use of it like a cantilever setup.

I thought he might be. Weve actually met. I bought the 3 inch drop springs from you guys when you switched to dropped spindles. Nice to see you on the board.

i remember now! nice to talk to you again! well i might have the 2 inch front springs and the 5 inch rears for sale pretty soon! I am switching to air bags in about a week hopefully!!!
