POA/Expansion Valve for A/C
My brother is looking for a POA valve for his '72 Monte carlo, which is the same (I'm told) as for our trucks. This critter is apparently no longer made, so he's struck out at the usual places. Does anybody out there have a decent, woking used one?

LMC has a listing in their cat so if they've got it i'm sure most other vendors have it as well

poa
The poa valves have been discontinued, from what i have heard. I was told the originals are bringing 300-600 dollars. Old air makes a replacement poa update valve. Sells for about 100.00. Hope this helps.

OK, I have learned (the hard way) that the Expansion and the POA are connected but NOT the same part. I can find the Expansion, but the POA is still missing in action.
At least one replacement unit has been tried, but it doesn't work. Can someone post the addy for Old air? TIA

I just looked at the replacement parts they offer (nos) and the truck poa was $625 and a second series(?) was $300+. wow!
Same goes for a 72 monte poa! I should have kept mine . It was in great shape so I gave it to a friend. I hope he knows how lucky he is. LOL

Chevy Duty and others sell this a bit cheaper if thats the route you want to go, for those not looking for "stock" appearences.

Old POA
My POA was sticking so I replaced it with the electric cycling type with the wires coming out and it works great. Anyway I still have the original one. If you need the original one and want to buy mine 40.00 total.

Re: Old POA
I'll check with my bother. He's tried one of the eliminators, now, and he says it's not working right.
