Re: Gennie shifter
they went out of buisness, then tried to start up again, then closed again, only way to find one is if someone has one sitting on a shelf in a hotrod speed part shop, best thing is to call around, I have one love it think its a great shifter, better then a lokar i think. the only place that sells one similar is http://www.americanshifter.com/products/shifter/ thats a cheap knock off made oversea's and has a dual feature to shift like a lokar or a gennie shifter, i have never used one but hear negative results on over hot rod forums and for the price of $300 before shipping you might as well buy a lokar........you can find parts of the gennie shifters like mounting brackets on ebay but not the whole unit unless you get lucky ..........good luck

Re: Gennie shifter
Chevy's of the 40's use to carry the Gennie Shifter line, but it appears they dumped them and now carry Lokar.
I recently saw an advertisement indicating B&M is now offering a shifter that looks very much like the Gennie. It comes with a 12" or 15" stick which is bolt one, so I assume a different brand stick could be added. No idea if the quality is good or not. http://www.bmracing.com/PRODUCTS/Per...et-Rod-Shifter Reading a few other threads regarding the B&M shifter, the handle must be pushed down to shift like a Lokar, but has a solid handle so that might cut down on rattles. Several comments that it might be built in China, but can't find any information confirming either way, and can't find anyone that has actually used one. Re: Gennie shifter
Just about any speed or hotrod shop on the internet sells them. If you get on the their website, choose a dealer close to you. I bought a 23inch ultra swan leg for a 700r4 and very happy with it. Good Luck.
