Offset upper control arm crossbar for lowered trucks?

Hello all,
I am working on thinking about a much needed front end rebuild.
Have a 5" drop. 2 inch springs and 3 inch spindles.
Rockauto has about the best prices I have found for Moog.
I can for 253.00 or so get all upper/lower Ball Joints and bushings.

1. I think for the difference of and additional 100.00 or so for Moog vs any of the Service grade or lower cost versions is worth the peace of mind. Do you?
(they have mevotech, mcquay norris, and raybestos service grade all considerably cheaper)

2. I included upper control arm offset cross shafts with bushings for the upper control arms.
(not much more expensive than just the bushings at about 40.00 each )

My question is- please double check my logic - has anyone used these to help lessen/control the amount of shims needed to align the front and get the camber right? My truck uses over an inch of shims to get the tire standing up straight. And I have even had the shims fall out before, even. My research indicates that these offset shafts give about 1 and 1/4 degree extra positive camber. Would these help?

I know the other brands are cheaper, but Moog (in my opinion) makes the best stuff. It is an added expense, but fortunately, rebuilding a front suspension isn't something that occurs on a regular basis. To me, it's worth it.

The offset cross bar looks like a good idea. I've personally never ran one, but if you plan to keep your truck in a lowered state, it might be worth getting. If you ever decided to go back to stock height, it could be a problem, though. Unless.....if you decided to go back to stock, you could FLIP the shaft 180 degrees to the opposite side of the offset?

Maybe some of the suspensions gurus can weight in on this.

MOOG parts are the only front end parts that last at all. We refuse to install anything else on customers cars. Moog also has a lifetime warranty. We have been burned on every other brand of parts failing way too soon.

Master pro and other in house brands use plastic to house the internals of their products. Moog uses much more superior components, like brass I believe

The offset cross shafts are a good idea....I put them on my '84 C10 when I rebuilt the front end and it wasn't lowered at all, just helped reduce the number of shims needed for alignment
