What & Where does it go,
I am assuming its part of the A/C or Cruise control ??? |

It's not part of the cruise control unless GM changed the wiring in the newer trucks. My 83 cruise should go back to the late 70's. I'm not sure on the A/C. The compressor should have a different connection unless the older compressors used a different type. Where does the wire lead from? Is it live? How many volts going through it? Looks more like a washer bottle connection.

It looks like it may have gone into the stock carburator.

then whats the thing with the small vacuum port (large arrow is pointing at) it appears to be split from that same green wire ??

The thing you are pointing to is a MAP sensor. Pull it out a chuck it!!!

My 83 had a computer of some sort in the pass floor panel or maybe in the dash. I took it all out. Trace it down and cut it out. You wont need it with a carb that you are runnning.

Btw the way the nipple left over had a hose on it that went to the carb to sense WOT. MAP stands for M______ A- absolute P-pressue. Forgot what M is sorry!!!

The thing the yellow arrow is pointing to is not a MAP sensor. It's the low vac switch for converter lockup.

Mike I have a vac line running from the manifold to the tranny modulator/ Is this low vac switch for converter lockup - - a seperate source that is needed also ? |

If your tranny is a TH350C, yes, it's needed in order for the converter to lockup. If it's just the plain TH350, then no, it's not needed.
