66 C10 parts
Hello everybody, newbe to this forum, not new to the old Chevy's though.
Picked up a good 1966 runner, 250, three on the tree, long bed. Somebody before me installed a four speed box, dicked up the drive line etc etc.. Anyway I'm in need of the shift arms that are attached to the transmission that link to the shift rods. I've checked everywhere online, if I need to buy another box to get these so be it. Yes it's a rust bucket so to speak, but for now it needs to be a daily driver. In the process of a front disc brake conversion, 1993 1500 will be the doner for the parts. As the drums only have an adjustment hole in them and not on the backing plate, so the aftermarket ones have no adjustment hole in them. Anyway, if anybody has an outlet/source for the trans arms, would appreciate any info. Thanks for your time, Jeff |

1st off, welcome to the forum. And how about some pics of that old stovebolt. Do you have the stock 3 speed muncie mc-318 trans?

Re: 66 C10 parts
This trans is a GM 7 bolt side cover, picked it up for 100 bucks, should work? Just signed up for photo bucket, here is the link: http://s1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb470/at38b/
It's got a late model HEI distributor with super long wires, moron I guess. It will get a Pertronix distributor & coil later in stock configuration, not this big 'ol thing hang'in on the side of the block. The hood seam, cab by the drivers upper side (window) all seals, floorboards, all the usual spots of rust, thank goodness for vinegar, eats the rust, but 'ya gott'a watch it. It will get there after the holidays hopefully. |
