Fuel Gauge
Hey guys!
I have reasons to believe that my fuel gauge, or some other related component isn't working correctly... For the past few weeks it has been reading empty, but when I turned it on yesterday, the guage suddenly read half a tank... At first I thought my father was kind and brought me a home a jerry can of gas, but he denies doing such a kind act (figures, lol) so I am down to thinking that something is wrong with my gauge. Any way of checking it without ripping my whole truck up? The truck is a 1980 with a stock guage setup

fuel guage
It sounds to me like the tank has a bad ground, letting the fuel guage float. Check tank ground, or add a new one. Good luck Tibbar
