Engine Mounts?

I am getting ready to set in a mid 70's 350 in my 64. Correct me if I am wrong, but won't the 327 mounts work for my 350?

Also, I still go with a 64' trans mount for a TH350, right?

Thanks for your help guys!

Re: Engine Mounts?

Correct on both cases, note you will have to grind a little off of the trans crossmember in the front to access the trans pan bolts for sevicing......

Thanks for the info! I ordered a "new style" trans crossmember from POL. Will i still need to shave a bit or will it be alright?

Also, I was looking at mounts from LMC and it seems they have multiplie mounts for the 327. This is a newbie question, but is there more mounts than beside the ones on the towers/perches?

Thanks!

Re: Engine Mounts?

New style crossmember ..no on the timming, and yes there are more than those there from other manufactures...just depends on who your going with. Your original `64 v8 mounts will work just fine. Just replace the upper rubber section against the block.

Rich, Thanks for the great info! Just for grins and giggles, where to the "rear engine mounts go?" If I am understanding, you are saying just replace the "front." Below is the LMC page i was refereing to.

Thanks again!

Part number 34-0324 are the upper rubber sections against the block that get old and deteriorate, the lower section of the engine mounts will stay in the original holes on the crossmember, there are two sets of holes of which you would use the rear holes, or closest to the firewall.

Thanks, it clicks now! I am starting with a bare chassis and a new 350 crate. I also saw the note that automatics only use the fronts like you were talking about. Thanks again for your help! Hopefully I will the 350/350 set in tomorrow!
