I think it can be done but it would be harder to get perfect. I'd also be afraid I missed a weld inside therefore making my cab a lot weaker. I did all the patch panels on my cab, floor, inner and outer rockers, kick panels and cab corners I would have never dared cut it all off lol. If you found a cab with a decent floor I'd just put that one on. just my .02
