Disc rears
I have a 71 c10 12 bolt, and I want to switch to disc in the rear. I have all new in the front , with pb master and porportioning valve. I can't afford the whole wildwood kit.
Recommodations? Or stay clear offs? I did a search, but there is no direct answers to my questions. Thanks. Glen Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Disc rears
The most economical way is to use a set of brackets on your stock axle. They can be found in our Vendor Marketplace where CaptFab sells them. The down side is they do not have E-brake provisions.

Re: Disc rears
I got a set of the brackets from captainfab and bought some camaro calipers and the mounting brackets that you bolt up to the captainfab brackets for $75 from a salvage yard.

Re: Disc rears
Cool thanks for the link and the info. I have found the Wilwood rear kit for $689.00 i think it was. so i decided I'm saving up for that and the fronts.

Re: Disc rears
You can go a lot cheaper if you look around at the kits on ebay and piece the parts together, I think I spent 250 for everything needed, and another 50 to get my axles machined down for the rotors

Re: Disc rears
Another option is the McGaughys set up. Its probably the best value for a 13" conversion on the market. Several of our Forum Vendors sell McGaughys product, so check the Suspension Marketplace or the Vendor Marketplace for the best deals.
