a 67 or a 68?

i have what i believe to be a 67 c10. i have recently listed it for sale and i have had several people tell me its a 68. the reason that they state is because it has the large back glass and they are telling me they didnt make a large back glass in 67 but everything i see on the truck says its a 67. any ideas?

Re: a 67 or a 68?

Large glass was an option in 67, in 68 the govt. put down the gavel and said no more small windows because of safety, so you probably have a 67 big window

Re: a 67 or a 68?

One way to tell is the side marker lights. Another govt mandate. The '67's don't have side marker lights, 68's do...

Looks like it needs to be in my garage.. What are you asking for it? SWB ? Is it on Craigslist?

Re: a 67 or a 68?

yeah its on craigslist in birmingham, al as a 67 lol. asking $1000 firm. its probably one of the most solid trucks ive ever seen. its a lwb but i have a complete and straight swb bed to go with it. i have a friend who owns a mach shop that said he would cut the frame and truck bars down for $300, thats why i have the swb bed for it. i was going to put the 68 front clip on the 72 thats sitting behind it but changed my mind. the only reason im even interested in selling this one is to help fund the 72 project, otherwise i would just keep it and have 2!! haha.

To be 100% sure, you should post the vin, or decode it yourself.

The 5th digit is the last number of the year (7 is 1967, 8 is 1968, etc)
