gas pedal
for my ls swap, i was told that a 06-07 chevy truck with 799/243 heads will work best with a turbo... My question is, will i have to change the gas pedal out somehow for a dbw. Or can i use a cable? thanks

Re: gas pedal
I coulda sworn I read that thread lol. Why did you want to go with a higher compression head along with a turbo setup? I'd think you'd be better off taking advantage of the lower compression that the 317's would offer.
799/243 DO flow better but would raise compression on a 6L to about 10.4:1 with a stock gasket. That doesn't answer your question tho. Which intake are you planning on using? I think that has more impact on TB choice than the heads, unless u go to an l92 style setup.

Re: gas pedal
Which year would you recommend. I'm reading on yellowbullet and that's what they are saying, but not sure....

Re: gas pedal
You can purchase aftermarket throttle bodies for cable use. Factory throttle bodies can be used on the earlier intakes I'd say 05 back. 317's and 243/799 heads all flow approximately the same just the 317's have a larger combustion chamber. Buddy of mine just built a stock bottom end ls2 with junkyard l92 heads and single turbo. This setup made 963hp to the wheels. Hope this helps and good luck with the build.
