S10 springs on rear of 59 chevy truck?
New to the forum and need suggestions on what I could use to replace the original rear leaf springs on my 59 3100 pickup. I am trying to get by as cheaply as possible, and know that I will have to fabricate new spring brackets if I use a later model 2 1/2" leaf spring. I have been looking at an S10 spring, but don't know if the spring rate would be heavy enough. Any suggestions?

I am going to move this to the 47-59 forum to see if you can get an answer.
