putting out a help looking call!!

I usually don't ask for help trying to locate an item, but I guess it is my turn to.

My wife has a 89 Nissan Hardbody (regular cab) truck and she is looking for a fiberglass camper shell to fit onto it. She is prefering charcoal grey or dark maroon. But she might not be so picky if we can just locate her one. Her bed measurements are outside to outside are 76" (6'4")x60"(5').

I know this is not a chevy or gmc truck, but she likes it. If anyone spots one close to them or know someone who is selling one, and you are within driving distance from Little Rock, Arkansas please email or post a message on here for me.

Thanks for any help you can.

Tommy I think there may be one for sale here in Paris TX. I will drive by there today to see. Would that be too far? Paris is about an hour and half west of Texarkana.

Not too far, I know exactly where paris is. Delivered there many times for Johnson & johnson products. If you can, get me some pics of it, remember it is for a nissan truck and it's outer bed measurements are 76" x 60" that is the dimensions that the camper shell needs to be.

Thanks for the help

What kind are you looking for? My paw-in-law took one off of his Nissan, it's a 94 or 95. It's an aluminum one, white in color, the kind you would see on house alarm company truck. It's up in Monroe, LA and we are going up there this weekend. If interested I'll see if they want to get rid of it.

looking for a fiberlass shell. My understanding from camper places here that 86.5 to 93 or so will fit it.

Thanks

Tommy I guess they already sold the camper shell. I saw one in a yard a week or so ago and not sure which house it was but its not there now anyway. I will keep an eye out though.

shell

Thanks guys, I would appreciate any help on locating one. My wife is in dire need of it. She is now using her truck to do the flea markets with her business due to the trans in the suburban is too weak to pull her trailer. They want a lot for another trans and right now I just don't have it.

camper shell

Ok, guys, I know someone knows where there is one. I only have approx 4 weeks to locate one.

It's for my wife's 89 nissan hardbody. Need fiberglass with the outer measurements of 76"(6'4")x60"(5').

Anyone spotting one, please let me know. Don't care what color, I just need to locate one for her.

Yes, I am willing to travel to get it. Longhaul trips don't bother me. Did it for over 10 years.

I took at look at the local junkyard, but didn't see a thing...

If you want it, I have a standard transmission in my parts truck that I would be willing to sell for $100 -- I can see what I can do to help out with shipping costs. It should arrive with enough time for you to install, or get it installed into your burban. It is a four speed (L, 1, 2, 3, R) but I am not sure about what size. It is currently in a 3/4 ton that was used to haul a dozen or so bales of hay at one point. Tell me if you are interested, I will keep an eye out for a topper anyways...

Going to Canada for a topper is too far for me to go. Besides that, I won't be allowed to cross the border. (Long story).

The trans sounds too old for mine. It's an 84.

The transmission is from a 76 and is mated to a 5.7 L 350 V8 at the moment, not sure if it would fit or not.
