AD Truck, rear cab seam...
Very soon I will start doing the repairs on my 51, cab. The rears cab seam is in good shape, no rust holes. I'd like to get some opinions on wether to weld up the rear cab seam, or leave it as is. Anyone??

I just did mine. Make sure you clean it out super good, and if possible, get a little spot blaster. then spray it down with some E-cote primer, then weld over top. Take lots of time in tiny spots to minimize warpage.

I didnt weld mine, but cleaned it out real good, and seam sealed it.

I thought about seam sealing it too, which might work just fine. I just had no clue how much body movement these old things have, so I figured instead of the possibility of repainting down the road, I'll just take care of it now.
How long has yours been painted D-man?

A friend of mine used Fusor on his rear cab seam and it worked excellent. No heat, no warping and it's as strong as a weld. I used it one time to attach dissimilar metals on a project. You can read up on it here.
