vintage plates
just scored a set of '71 truck plates this weekend at a swapmeet. they are in great shape except for a little yellowing.
is there a cleaner that i can use to whiten them up? or so i need to repaint them? if so, is there a special kind of reflective paint that i need to use? |

You might contact these guys:
http://www.mojoartworks.com/ or these guys: http://www.darrylsplates.com/index.html as both places restore license plates. Don't know of their work first hand, but it couldn't hurt to contact them? Just my $.02 ![]() ![]() ![]()

Actually, I think the plate is supposed to be a yellowed white.
When i was in tx I was looking at some 70 plates to put on my old longhorn (You guys are lucky, you can run them on your daily driver) but it was a bit yellowed, as was the 71 Chevelle SS my buddy had. |
