Re: Headers
I bought hookers ( headers that is ) and they slipped right into place without issue.

Re: Headers
The long tubes are better for street performance. Are you running an auto trans or a manual? There are long tubes that will fit just fine. Hedman #69090 and Hooker #2452's. The Hedman #69260's are designed to fit these trucks with a small block.

Re: Headers
Be aware that the Hooker 2452's and Hedman #69090 have 1 5/8" primary tubes but the Hooker's have thicker flanges & 2.5" collectors vs. the Hedman having 3" collectors.
The Hedman #69260 have 1.5" primary tubes.. Somebody smarter than me will be able to explain the differences in pipe sizes to you. |

Re: Headers
I have a 61 fleet with a 305 and shortys. They have 2.5" flanges and they work great. I dont know the brand, they came with the truck.

Re: Headers
I have hookers(long) on my 66 327 v8 and I had to slightly modify my clutch linkage to clear the headers(manual trans), it just required a slight bend is all which was in the install instructions

Re: Headers
I have headman longtubes with a 350/350 setup work great
But they hang down below the frame and im lowering quite a bit so im gettimg something shorter So depending on if your gonna lower your truck or not length may or may not be a factor to look at Posted via Mobile Device
