Bragging rights..
Okay this friend of mine talking smack how his new mustang is way faster than my truck..
But it don't compare how I have a 84 c10 that I built by hand and built the motor for it and it runs 13.9 at like 97. He (or should I say daddy) buys a 07 mustang gt and throws some bolt ons and runs a 13.6 at 98mpgh I mean yes it's faster (barley) but its also a sports car that is made by the factory to go fast. A truck by no means is. Expeshly one build almost 30 years ago.. Lol sorry for my rant . You guys would understand.. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Bragging rights..
Any one can buy a fast(er) car. Takes skill, time, patients, and money to build one. Let him know his mustang is slow.. There are many (I owned one) stock 4th gen f-bodies running low 13 to high 12's. Heck my wife's truck would give him a run for his money, trailblazer ss.

Re: Bragging rights..
Bottom line is, there is always someone faster than you. There is always someone with more money than you. The NHRA top fuel class runs a 4 second 1/4 mile at 300 MPH, and that's with a lot of rules that keep them at that speed.
The question is, does your ride make you happy? You know you built it and put a lot of hard work into it, and you know it puts a smile on your face every time you light up the tires. That's all you need. Just remember, anyone can sign a loan for a new car, but not everyone can turn wrenches and build one. Furthermore, if someone has to come out and say that their ride is so much faster than mine, they obviously have some insecurities and I don't like people with that kind of attitude anyway.

Re: Bragging rights..
my mom took me off the bottle years ago
but i was planning on doing e-fans real soon and a stall vertter that should help. but its easy throwing bolt-ons on your car and making it go fast. i just is funny that it needs to be a new sports car to be faster..
