first post and first question

hello all im new to the site and heres my first question. i started a build with an 80's frame and got a rolling chasis. i believe its an 87. well i decided to build a 67 chevy and was wondering if i can or has anybody built a 67-72 using an 80's frame. i know the body mounts are in different places and thats an easy fix to do but are there any other issues i gotta deal with? i hope i posted this in the right section.

I would consider swaping the 80's suspension parts onto the 67 frame.
That has been done quite often.
The shape of the 73-87 frames make it difficult to mount the 67-72 cabs, unless you use a set of body lift blocks. (which would be ok for a 4x4 application)

Anyone else actually done this swap?

Thanks for the reply. I would like to just swap everything over but my rolling chasis is already c notched, 4 linked, and has dropped spindles. If I had to start over with the 67 I guess I will but would rather not have to.

Im not sure I have seen it done before, if someone has done it on this site then they are keeping quiet. it can be done though. front ends are pretty similar. and, for the rear.. pretty much any rear will fit. biggest question is, wheelbase the same? I would say measure measure measure. as long as the critical sizes are good, the rest can be fabbed.
