Wiper motor seal...
I'm relubing my wiper motor and linkage and will replace the large tar washer I have on order. I was wondering if anyone knows who sells the seal pictured below or maybe have another method of sealing the wiper shaft.

Re: Wiper motor seal...
Go to your local parts house and buy a package of 3M strip calk adhesive. Great stuff and will work great for the wiper motor.... Lots of other stuff too. WES

Re: Wiper motor seal...
Thanks, Wes. I might give that a try if I can't figure out a way to make one.
It's an umbrella type seal and I guess I could buy a motor if it ever gave out but just trying to do a little preventative stuff. |

Re: Wiper motor seal...
I just bought a new motor from O'Reilly Auto Parts and it did not come with that seal. I just reused the original.

Re: Wiper motor seal...
Okay, I think I found something I can use. I have an extra umbrella type valve stem seal I'm cutting fit. The valve stem diameter is slightly smaller than the wiper motor shaft end but a tight fit is what I want.
