You most certainly can. I modified 2 harnesses this way. When you order one for HEI the only difference is the terminal.

i have some new brass terminals also. not sure how many i have left, but will sell individually or as many as you need.....these will fit in our harness pig tails...pic added of what they look like... i didnt really "crimp" because mine are soldered on too...
