If that is the case I'd make sure that left front lamp holder is grounded.
On my truck the ground is good but there is a bad connection in the lamp holder. If I jiggle the lamp holder where the wires go into it, it works. I need a new lamp holder which on a 69/70 is the assembly that is attached to the grill. (In my case it is the parking light that is intermittent. In other words the blinker always blinks on command but the parking light doesn't always light up when commanded)
