8" rallies on a 68. Will they fit?
I was crawling around under my 68 last night and I noticed there isn't much clearance between the inner rear tire and the bed tub. I bought a set of 15x8" rallies, but I am concerned they may not fit. I was going to put 60's on the wheels, so the tires won't be too wide.
Has anyone else done this? No wonder GM widened the axles on the later models!! LOL

4-1/2" backspacing
I have 8" rallyes on my 68 stepside. As long as they have the correct backspacing, they'll fit just fine.
good luck, scott

I had a set on my old 69. I ran 275/60 on the back and 255/60 on the front. Fit perfect. I think "lost wages" and I have the same ideas for your truck. Ha.

The factory 15x8 4x4 rallys? Yeh they will fit. Had them on mine till I converted to 5 lug disc . I think they may rub a little on one side. I never heard it but did notice a rub mark. It's been a long time ago, mind's a little foggy on which side it was.
Steve.
