Looking for advice on suspension updates

I plan to lower my front end 2-1/2 via drop spindles, will be updating to disc and power brakes in the process. Plan to leave the rear end stance as it is.

What I want to learn about is how to go about smoothing out the ride. It would be stupid to re-install the old front springs when I have the front suspension apart. Does it come down to springs and shocks? Truck does not have stabilizer bars either.

Look forward to all of those expert opinions!

Changing the spindles will not change ride...sway bar helps a lot leveling on corners...

Thanks guys, so, as far as improving the ride is the biggest factor good shocks? Are the springs that you find at all of the classic part suppliers equal? Some of these guys offer free shipping on the small stuff if your order is big enough, do any of them cover freight on big stuff if the order is big enough?

I got all my stuff from a donor truck including my springs.
The 77 frame I got to pull suspension off of had new springs on the front and some very nice gas shocks.
I wouldn't run without a sway bar or power steering. They both make a world of difference.
It all interchanges with little trouble at all.
The later suspension cross member seems to take a different style spring. At least they were different from the stock 63 units I took out.
