It probably happened on a Monday or Friday. I had friends that worked at the Fremont GM plant and those were consistently the days with poorest quality because guys were either hung over or anxious to leave (or didn't show up at all).

Finished removing all the slats today and even buzzed the frame in a few spots to test how easy/hard its going to be getting the dirt and rust off. I'm trying to figure out what my steps should be to get the frame and cross members all refurbished and keep the truck drivable. Seems like it may not be possible. I think bare minimum the bed is going to have to come off. Otherwise it will just be to tough to get in all the crevices. I figure I can cut the exhaust off after the mufflers to get some of that out of the way. Maybe get everything I can done with the bed on than jsut take it off for a weekend for the final parts.
