Wider Radiator Support Modifications

I am going to be installing a 1990 radiator, condenser, oil cooler, and trans cooler in my 1960 soon. The height is close, but the new radiator is about 14" wider than the original. I know that I'll be fabricating the front of each inner fender for the wider radiator.

Anyone have suggestions or build links for something like this? I've tried searching, but it's not easy to search for something like this. I'd just like some ideas before I start cutting and welding!

Re: Wider Radiator Support Modifications

I have seen it done before but personally I wouldn't go to that extent just to fit a radiator. Not only will you have to modify the front attachment of the inner fenders to the radiator support, you will also have to move the battery. I know it isn't a small amount of money, but I would use one of the Summit universal aluminum radiators. Here is a current thread with some more info on which ones to use.
