over the past couple of years i looked for these in regular auto parts stores.. they had none... I bought the ones from LMC after attempting to make my own..

Re: Rubber filler neck hose.

speaking of these filler necks, any of you figured out how to get gas from spilling out when putting gas in. I just swapped my fuel neck hoses 2 months ago. now that all the cracks in the old hose dont seep, the gas trickles out down the side

I have found a setup that works rather well. You can try to flip over the nozzle (in my case only halfway) and then pump slow.

I've been putting up with this for 34 years. I think I've pumped more on the ground than in my tank!

Re: Rubber filler neck hose.

I bought mine at Carquest, the local O'reillys also had it. I will warn you, they are very expensive. Don't cheap out like the PO did on my truck and use a radiator hose.

Re: Rubber filler neck hose.

I can't remember what the 78s have, buy on my 83 LB C20 I have a 5/8" vent line, which can be had at O'Reilly's for $2/LFT. My 83 has a 1 3/4" diameter big filler hose, but I have them cut off short to accommodate my dump box, so I think I am going to buy this Gates universal hose for my dual tanks (don't know if it would work for you):

Amazon.com: Gates 24716 Fuel Hose, 1-3/4" -... Amazon.com: Gates 24716 Fuel Hose, 1-3/4" -...
