bleeding power steering

Got my adaptors from captain fab, install went smooth as can be. I used a rebuilt pump and box but cant get the whinning out. Turned the wheel lock to lock 4 or 5 times with it jacked up,checked and refilled, drove it around the block a couple of times. It still makes noise when you turn and sometimes gets hard to turn. Any ideas, Thanks.

Re: bleeding power steering

Was this the same box and pump you had in before? If this is a new/rebuilt pump, maybe the pump is having issues.

These are usually easy to bleed.

Re: bleeding power steering

It is a rebuilt pump and box,no fluid in either one since rebuild. Do you leave the pump cap on or off when turning the wheel or does it matter?
