AirLift D2500 & D2600 Dominator Air Bags in a 60-66??
Hey Guys i was just wondering if these bags are what i should run in my 1966 will they work?.....i noticed that there is two different sizes in this ebay listing are these the right bags (small bags in the front and bigger bags in the rear?)?? Im just going to run a basic bag job, plates in the front and bags bolted to the trailing arms in the rear....i see "porterbuilt" have slam specialty bags and cpp has a brand "cool ride" anybody running "airlift" that could let me know? this will be my first airbag install and need some help......or do i want all big bags or all small bags?

Re: AirLift D2500 & D2600 Dominator Air Bags in a 60-66??
I'll throw a wrench in the works & would do the opposite. I'd run larger bags in the front, smaller for the rear.....
I found that lower air pressure does not always equal better ride quality. I realized this personally after RideTech recommended/spec'd the smaller bags for the truck arm C10 applications. I opted to use the same bags as the front (2600's/RE-7's) in my swb. To achieve my desired ride height (using only CPP bolt-in c-notches) required less than 30psi which caused the ride to be very spongy & 'bouncy'. If I added as little as 5psi, the ride improved but my stance/height took a hit. Smaller bags would have required slightly more pressure for the same amount of lift which for me would have been the sweet spot. The recommended ride height & pressures for each specific size/brand of air-spring are a key part to better ride quality. Of course, it would/could still work otherwise, but why spend the $$ on something when for the exact same cash outlay you can have something better? I suggest talking w/several vendors or manufacturers along w/members opinions to help form an educated decision. What bags you need should ultimately depend on the ride height your trying to achieve & the other parts you're using.

i am going to make my own brackets and stuff for the front. trying to get as low as passable on a budget. going to cup the lower a-arms for the added few inches little bit and just buy/make a upper plate

Re: AirLift D2500 & D2600 Dominator Air Bags in a 60-66??
Not much trucks been on hold for the last few weeks besides the little updates in my build thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=485977 ,but as far as the bags I ended up getting a set of 2600's bags for the rear from a friend for cheap and bought a set of 2600's for the front off line so i didnt go with the 2500's,2600's combo i was looking at, and the truck hasn't been driven yet besides up and down the street a bit so i havent got to see how ir really rides with the bags yet,a few small things and it should be road worthy but money issues came up but they are turning around and ive been busy since i went back to work, but in the next month or so i should be able to drive the wheels off it....
