starter dragging when hot

I changed my heads to lower my compression to be more street friendly

Now I cant get my timing right Or mayby its right

What happens is when the engine is warm it is hard to start like
ungh ungh ungh ungh ungh

Dragging when cold boom starts right up

I retarded the timing thinking i had it to high but now it feels a little weak

it is set to about 22° at tdc at 2000 rpm and i have the stiff springs on distributer

any help would be great If i set timing to say 30° at tdc then it wont start So i think it is to high but it may just be starter idk

355 roller 9.5 to 1 comp.... with headers thanks fellows

Re: starter dragging when hot

wrap your headers. and/or heat shield. headers will kill starters
