Biggest tires with s10 swap
What are the tallest tires that anyone has put on a s10 frame with an ad truck. I am thinking about doing 31 ich tire that is 10 inches wide.

I don't think you would have any trouble with that on the rear but can't find a reason for that tall of tire on the front unless you are setting the truck up at stock height trying to have it look more stock than custom.

Re: Biggest tires with s10 swap
The original tires were about 29-30 inches tall so you shouldn't have too many issues at 31 inches but width may cause a problem. Width may especially be a problem on the front because the wheels may rub when turning. I am running 215-85-R16 LT's on my truck and they are about the same height as stock but way thinner than 10 inches.
Edit... I forgot to say that I am using a stock everything and not an S10 frame but wheel to body clearances shouldn't be much different. |

Ok that is good to know, as far as the frame I have allready taken care of the rubbing problems just didnt know if the body would have any problems rubbing on fenders or anything.
Also I dont plan on doing any suspension drop as of yet, well until I get the body fully on and the vehicle working, then I will look at doing suspension drop. |

Fornt- 215/65/15
Back-275/60/15 Using a s10 frame Everything on the frame is stock excapet a 3" lowering block in the back, no spacers. i had to make a wheel tub that goes towards the bed and cut the bedside to fit the tire due to the size and backspacing on the rear wheels. No rubbing anywhere on the fenders.

Re: Biggest tires with s10 swap
I have 235/75R15's on mine all around (28"). I'm running 2" drop spindles in front and the cab is 3.5" off the frame. Lots of pictures of it in my build thread.
I'm not running any spacers on the front and I have the stock s10 wheels and the tires do rub on the sway bar at full lock.

Re: Biggest tires with s10 swap
Well i put the rims on the frame today . . . they are 22" tire measuring at 31" total height at 10.25" wide. I got them on the front, with no motor and they fit ok, haha but they rub a little on the upper control arm factory, =( with not motor again. so they will be ok if I put a like 1" spacer on them and going with tube uppers also. So we will see how this week goes when I get the parts in. I dont think I will be able to do drop spindles so I will just go with drop springs and should be ok.
