Wish I was doing what you're doing, Rob.

I'll be in the garage alright but I'm doing some structural work on it so I can get my boat in, yada, yada.

But I AM going down to Long Beach early tomorrow to pick up a deal on a hydroboost out of an '04 Mustang so I can EVENTUALLY install my disc kit.

Re: Whos playing in the garage this Memorial Day weekend?

Well, I worked Saturday on my regular 7 hr shift and am working today ( Monday) on overtime because someone else wanted the day off (the ot goes in the truck kitty) and will get off at noon and go babysit my mom's flower sales this afternoon.
The 71 will get some attention tomorrow and I might get the GMC front crossmember rivets drilled out and the Chevy crossmember installed in the frame.

That firewall looks great Rob, I wish I was that far along with mine.

That's pretty slick G&R's57GMC it beats crawling over the fenders and grill for hours on end.

Re: Whos playing in the garage this Memorial Day weekend?

I'm taking a break from reattaching original headliner in a '36 Plymouth. I need to get back out there before I lose my motivation.

Martians can get through aluminum foil unless it's attached to bubble wrap. They knew everything I was planning for years even though my hats were all foil lined.

Thanks. Im not a bodywork pro by any means. Just an internet student. Between the welding and sanding and painting and do overs, ive got over 25 hours into it! I learned alot tho!

Re: Whos playing in the garage this Memorial Day weekend?

Haven't spent much time in the garage but I've spent hours in the junk yard this weekend. Brought home a Explorer 8.8 rear end and a hydroboost setup for the truck, plus a bunch of interior parts for my other cars. Also went with my dad and pulled another Explorer rear end and a set of front disk brakes off of a mid-70s truck for his truck. Feeling pretty beat up.

Rob it's going good, getting to work on my own '33 coupe for once.. Truck is looking good can't wait to see more pictures of it when you get it down on four wheels.. be careful with the beer it'll make you grind more than you need...
I know you said you painted the frame and i know you know this but i hope you didn't paint where you have to weld... ..

I did but it was net zero weekend, swapped out the Chevelle carb, relearned a lesson about vaccum leaks, and dropped the truck tailgate on the Chevelle fender.

Small dent, cannot complain to much, only third minor incident in 16 years of daily use!
