rear ground strap

Does anyone have a picture of where the ground strap is supposed to be located on the rear of the Blazer/Jimmy. I understand that it goes from the frame to the body, but I cant find the original holes Mine is a 2wd if that makes any difference.

Re: rear ground strap

The pictures listed in the thread DustinU posted are just like mine. The ground strap I have the furthest back goes from the frame rail to a bracket around the rocker box on the passenger side door.

Re: rear ground strap

I am aware of the one on the passenger side... what I am looking for, is one on the back of the truck, say under the tailgate area. The pictures in the thread are good though, maybe Im thinking of that one shown in the last picture by the tailpipe.

Re: rear ground strap

A kit with 5 is for a V8. 4 is for a I6 cylinder. On a V8, 2 go between the rear of the engine heads to firewall on each side at transmission tunnel (on a six it is just one at the back of the head to the firewall tunnel). 2 go under the cab with one on each side of drivers and passenger side. These two are placed between the cab and the cab mount on the frame. The last one of the five goes from the under bed rail to the frame. You can make your own but I like the look of the braided grounds straps. Be sure to clean the contact area. I also smeared a small amount of dielectric grease to keep corrosion down. There is never too much grounding. G.
