Looook what i Got, Rare Factory seat
So on june 6th me and my dad drove from houston TX to Shreveport LA to pick up SWB 68 from craigslist. we have been on the hunt for a good bed and since i recently decided id rather have a 68 than a 72 we started looking for a solid complete 68 truck. (my dad is gonna build the 72 for himself). so for $2000 we picked up a complete truck (except motor/trans) with a near perfect front end, fleetside bed, cab, frame and clear title. what i didnt realize is the little jewel that was bolted down in the cab. a factory "buddy seat" my dad was telling me how rare they are and said the seat alone was probably worth $750 but i thought he was joking til i 'googled" it myself and saw some on craigslist that are tattered&torn and going for $500!!! the seat is in great shape and looks like it was pretty recently recovered.
needless to say the 9 hr, 500+mile, $300 in gas, trip was worth it. its gonna look sweet in my finished truck! was so excited i had to share! what do you guys think? |

While not all that rare, they are very desireable. I love mine!

Re: Looook what i Got, Rare Factory seat
Now the plan is bagged over big billets with all porterbuilt stuff. My cab has been suicided and took a dash out of a 55 chevy truck that is gonna be streched simalar to jtp67-72 build where he stretched that bel air dash. Was originally gonna use a 350 bored to a 355. But i got a 454 from my dad and the 355 is going to my little bros 66 nova. Big plans, small budget lol. Im gonna be savin up for a while.
