Re: More tail light filler

Also besides the cap. What filler neck did you use? My pipe on my blazer tank seems pretty small and I have to decide on something to run up to filler pipe and cap.

Stock light will not work. You have to run the LEDs

Re: More tail light filler

No, its the socket itself that gets in the way. You have to cut that area away from the bucket so its smooth.

Re: More tail light filler

The LEDs that I used plugged into the stock socket, I just moved the socket underneath the bed. I think my LEDs were about $150 back then.

ok thats what I was wanting to do. You can get the leds that plug into the stock socket fairly cheap now. I got my bed shaved today to miss the blazer tank.

Re: More tail light filler

I mounted my bed today and here is a shot of my filler hole. I am confused at how you go to light from nozzle?

Re: More tail light filler

What Im doing is, I went to the hardware store and bought 3 feet on copper pipe and Im bending it to the shape I need, then taking it to the exhaust shop and have them make me a tube in that shape then conect it to the tank pipe and filler with fuel filler hose from napa ?
Not done so no pics

Re: More tail light filler

I had my tank made with the filler neck at the left rear and used Napa hose and exhaust tubing to get to the corner of the bed. If you search "tail fuel filler", you can see my thread and pics of how I did mine.
