suburban rear bumper same as front?

des anyone know if the 60 -66 suburban rear bumper (suburban bumper I believe has no drop in the center) is actually the same as the front bumper? what about the rear brackets, are they the same for the fleetside? thanks

Yes they are the same bumper... with different holes. Also, rear bumper mount holes are different from 60-62 and 63-66 due to frame changes. make sure you get the right one for your year.

I'm not looking for a bumper, my original painted ones are nice. I picked up an original chrome rear for a 65 suburban with the brackets, and didn't know how hard they might be to find. I thought it looked a lot like the front, though. My trucks not here to take a close look.

They made FAR less Suburbans than trucks, so legit rear bumpers are not easy to find. That said, one could be made from a front bumper (before chrome or paint) if needed.

but at least all panels and suburbans came with rear bumpers where p/u didn't
