Odd question

Can a guy fix a small dent in a valve cover with BONDO? It's maye the size of a quarter. Just curious if it would take the heat or if it would work. A guy I work with asked me and I thought I'd ask the forum. If BONDO wouldn't work, how about something like JB WELD ???

Thanks,

RIZ

Re: Odd question

He doesn't want to remove the valve cover so he's just going to use bondo. I did a search and other guys have used it with great results.

Re: Odd question

With all the work to clean off any oils and paint to get the filler to stick properly then finishing it out, you will end up putting more time into it rather than pulling the cover and popping the dent from the inside. Do yourself a favor pulling the valve cover and tap the dent out from the other side.
