Yep, do you have a pic of the air spring setup ? you will need to deflate, remove, adjust, or modify the air spring to get it to go down but it is hard to say without a pic.

Re: lowering question

Also, keep in mind that the rear springs may have sagged over the years. If so you will probably not get 3 in of drop.IIRC I got about 2 3/4 in of drop from 4 in lowering springs, but I replaced the front springs with new so it worked out.

Re: lowering question

I would run normal shocks, as I think you will get a better ride from a proper shock on the truck. As PanelDeland said, the stock spring does sag, and aftermarket springs amount of drop is measured from a non-sagging stock spring.

Re: lowering question

so Travis do you think the air shocks are holding it up more? or should I go lower to make it sit level?

Re: lowering question

I will assume that now you're saying "air shocks" that they are just that and there should be an air fitting to air them up on the bumper or else where. You could deflate them to desired height and keep them incase you need to haul a trailer or bring home some new furniture but more likely some proper gas shocks would be ideal for a static drop.

SOOOOO is it
1 air spring

2 air bag

3 air shocks
