60 GMC Rear Cab Mount question
I'm currently working on a 60 GMC and need to repair the passenger side rear cab mount. I have purchased the replacement patch panels from both LMC and classic parts and the angle that mounds to inside rocker is no where near a close match.
Has anyone found a patch panel that matches or and I left to making my own? Thanks for you're help. |

Hey there fellow '60 GMC owner!
I have not started body work yet, but I keep hearing, and reading about people having to buy the patch panels, and modify them to work. Cutting, adding to, etc. Do you have any pictures? Good Luck! |

Re: 60 GMC Rear Cab Mount question
Can't help with the metal cab support question, but I know when I bought 1960 Chevy rubber cab mounts for my 1960 GMC 10 years ago they weren't even close to the GMC design, so I ended up reinstalling the originals. My guess is there isn't enough demand for the aftermarket to support these.

Re: 60 GMC Rear Cab Mount question
I think what you have there is called a slip over. Its made to slip over the existing one and weld into place, not cut out the old and use to replace. I have a 60 chevy and I am replacing them too. Im sure I got mine at Brothers Trucks.
