Anyone using jeep springs on their truck at the track?

I am getting close to putting my truck back together and have a set of jeep springs I was gonna use in the rear. I was gonna use these with my old setup which ran 12.00's on the factory suspension. The old motor gave it up before I could put them in. My new motor should be 125-150 hp more then the old motor and I plan on spraying 150-250 on top of that. I dont feel comfortable with how soft the jeep springs are with my new setup and was wondering if anyone had used them on a mid 10 sec. ride? I am worried they will let the rear bottum out. BTW the truck is a 64 SWB.

I am currently swapping the front suspension out to a mid 80's for disc brakes and 5 lug. I wanted to lower the front and rear at the same time, but if the jeep springs wont work I need to source a decent spring.

Thanks,
Jay

Dave Morgan seems to preach light and long for both front and back, then use the shock to control the spring.

What do you have for a shock?

I was running a 130lb 14" spring when I had the factory rear suspension, and I run V8 grand Cherokee springs in the front.

I am planning on using Rancho shocks but right now it still has the cheapo air shocks it had on it when I bought it. I was waiting to see how much the jeep spring lowered the truck before I ordered new shocks so I get the right size.
