Was the price a typo?? $4500.00
If it's $450.00 I'd be interested, but for $4500.00 I could go to a veery fancy aftermarket TPI unit. Ron Quote:

That price sounds about right. All of the 3-duece and 6 pack setups I've seen have been finely tuned and well built. They're not stuff you'd see at a yard sale. Some of the old hotrod shops will sell complete setups for around 4-5 grand.
It looks cool as hell, but it's a lot of work to build a setup like that, get it to run well, and make it look good.

I've only seen a couple of tri-carb t-ram tops in my life, and they were both custom pieces. Both were old Offy t-ram bases with custom tops. One was a cast piece, the other looked like it had been fabbed out of sheet aluminum. Both were on high-dollar streetrods. $4500 sounds about right for a vintage set-up with the carbs. You could always buy a t-ram base and have a fabricator build you a tri-carb top; it's be a lot cheaper.
I once saw a 6-71 blower mounted on top of a tunnel ram! Talk about wanting to be different (and a really long blower belt ) SC |

Tri-power can be work syncing them,, But you Kids Have to remember, I'm an old fast fart :p That used to work on just these, My first hot rod was a 60 Chev convertible with a 409 425 HP tri-power, ( the original 409 425 HP, came with dual quads )
It did very well on gas, ( it didn't really matter at 12.9 to 14.9 cents a gallon though) until you punched in those other two dueces. Then the gas gauge would outrun the speedo... I have ran this tunnel ram I have now ( not this exact one, but this style) with two dueces, It performed well, and got very decent mileage. I ran two Holley 500 Cfm two barrels.. I have two holley 390 CFM four barrels for it now, but am just thinking. I did visit a site that had a TPI mounted on a tunnel ram, That was another thing of beauty. the whole works was polished.
