can;t decode my vin
can anybody decode my vin.it is 5C1504619447A.there are numbers on the side of the frame but they are different.drivers side number is3829593 4 29 17 122.pass side number is 3829594 4 26 17 122.can anyone tell me why these numbers are different. there are no numbers on top of the frame.

The first digit being a number and the last letter being an “A” seems to indicate this is a Canadian VIN. If this is true, this is how the number would break out:
5 = 1965 C = Conventional Cab 1504 = ½ ton Long Bed 127” wheelbase stepside 6 = 6 cylinder engine 19447 = last 5 digits of VIN A = GVW rating of 6,000 & less Here’s a full thread on how to decipher all the different types: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=463671 If it were a GMC this link would help decode: http://www.6066gmcguy.org/VinNumber.htm
