I had a 402 motor in my "street" car 71 chevelle back a long time ago, like the 90's and it ran in the 1/8 mile a 6.78@120 showing it needed way more gear because of the mph is way high for the et. The car weighted 3760 with me in it and it had a powerglide [that slowed it some as well cause the car was so heavy] there was another tenth in it with a th 400 in the car so the lower low gear could hekp it move. [it went 1.29-131 60ft time] often carring the front wheels chest high! so you can make a 402 run pretty good!!! and that motor still had the factory heads on it Jim
