Re: what paint codes/colors were offere in 71-72
There were a number of RPO two tone paint combinations. Probably best to go over to auto color library and look around some. To generalize all the colors were offered with white. Plus there were some specific combinations like orange with a black roof. Med green and light yellow, Med blue and dark blue, med green and dark olive (556) as well. These were only the standard two tone body/roof though. However a non-standard combination of stock colors could be ordered as special paint.

White was the accent color for 2-tones,except 504 Medium Olive Poly was offered as an accent color with 506 Dark Olive Poly and 525 Yellow or reversed. There exceptions on a special order basis, basically COPO,as in not offered in the regular line of options.
I assume you are asking about 71/72 Chevrolet truck colors. Most colors were shared with GMC,but some were Chevy-only and some were GMC-only.

If you go to the Color Library link for '71 and '72 you will see the chip cards and the data cards (pg2+). There it will list the two-tone codes and their break out by Ditler code. Any combination that isn't 2185 in the second column is using a secondary other than white. Here are eight codes of the seven combinations offered as standard paint codes.

Re: what paint codes/colors were offere in 71-72
OK, Here is the breakout for light trucks @ 2AM.
1971 24 colors offered 3 GMC only 18-5=13 base color choices 5 Chevrolet only 18-3=15 base color choices 6 van only colors that didn't carry over from '71 into '72 501 medium blue 502 dark sandalwood 507 medium green 508 dark blue 512 medium green 515 light sandalwood 1972 18 colors offered 3 GMC only 18-5=13 base color choices 5 Chevrolet only 18-3=15 base color choices These numbers reflect that 526 Med. Gold Poly's flop from a GMC only to a Chevrolet only color appears to be a typo.
