more hydroboost
I thought I would shoot this out there, even though it looks like most hydroboost questions go unanswered. mine leaks from the joint in the body. It looked like a new seal might fix it but thats a guess. It still works fine. I called the parts house and they do not sell a rebuild kit. They do sell reman units for $120 or $150 depending on if you have the jb3 or jb5. S,o now I know that there are two types. How do I know what I have?
Are there still kits available? |

Re: more hydroboost
Thanks for the link. I shot them an email a few days ago. No word back yet. Hard to believe that these kits are so difficult to find given how many trucks had the hydro boost . These guys seem to be the ony company that carries them.

Re: more hydroboost
I broke down a ordered a rebuilt unit a hour ago. It will be here tomorrow .I spoke with pirate hotrod and I could of had a kit in a week for $50. I know myself and by the time I waited for parts and got it out rebuilt and in . I would be saying I should have spent the other hundred and been done with it. But also knowing me by the time I start the kit would have been here.

Re: more hydroboost
I actually used a kit from ebay, that was listed for a cucv blazer. it had new hard parts in it as well as the seals. works great. just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on a reman when I could do it myself!
