FYI panel/longbed 97" replacement part

i was on classic parts on sunday and found this part #14-053A bed side panel/longbed 97" here is the link ...http://www.classicparts.com/1960-62-...tinfo/14-053A/

i emailed them this morning asking where they were made and what gauge steel there were . here is the reply from that email...

Part number 14-053A is a bedside that is made here in the states. As for the gauge, it does not give me that information. They are going to be like original. We do not normally stock these, so once you place an order, it will be about 3-4 weeks before we will receive them, then once in stock, it will take about 1-2 weeks for you to receive them from us. If you need anything further, please let us know.

Thanks,

Alex

Re: FYI panel/longbed 97" replacement part

I wonder if it is a stepside panel or a fleetside panel? It doesn't say in the description. And I wonder why it is listed as fitting '60-'62 only.

Re: FYI panel/longbed 97" replacement part

it does say panel/longbed ..and i have measured my panel and from the door back to just about where the body starts to curve around to the back is 97' ..but i would want to know as much info as i could get before i would order..just wish that they had a picture to go with it ...i can remember years ago you were able to get a full fleet side but lately no one has them for sale . and now classic part is listing it ...all i can say is double check with them before you order

Re: FYI panel/longbed 97" replacement part

I bought two of these bedsides for my 62 longbed stepside. Very high quality made by Mar-K in the US. Genuine GM restoration parts. You will not find a better replacement. My rear tailgate was also made by Mar-K and is really a thing of beauty.
