3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
I can't believe that many people opted for C10's over C20s that the hubcaps can't be found. I wish I still had mine, grandpa got rid of them years ago with the split rims. Wish they'd make new ones in 3/4 ton form.

I'd prefer chrome drivers, it's not a show truck but it's nice.

Re: 3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
hello you can make 3/4 ton caps out of 1/2 ton caps . just find some old cheap 3/4 ton caps remove the ring from the back . cut a small section from the ring and install tack weld in 4 spots . you have 3/4 ton caps mike

Sounds interesting. The rims I have right now are 16.5 inch bump rims.

Right now I'm running 1969 caps that are 12" across.

Re: 3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
I don't think the stock 3/4 ton caps or the 1/2 ton are any different in diameter. Here's a picture of a 8 7/8" for 3/4/1 ton and 7 5/8 for15"/16" with clips cap for 1/2 ton. The 3/4 is deeper dish though. I don't know if the 65 cap was any larger diameter, never seen anything larger.

So at its widest point, how wide is the cap?

10 3/16 inside diameter on a 15" cap for wheels with nubs.

Re: 3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
the cap size is the same for 1/2 and 3/4 ton if you have clips on the 3/4 ton wheel you need the ring to hold them on . sorry if you thought the actual width was larger mike

Re: 3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
Good idea. Salavage the inner ring on beat up 3/4 ton caps, slice them in half, then tack weld to a nice set of regular 1/2 ton caps or clip style 1/2 ton caps. This is good solution for building 3/4 ton caps for 64-66's since 1/2 ton caps are the same styling moulds. THis will not work for 60-63 3/4 ton caps because the 3/4 ton caps are physically deeper than the 1/2 ton versions.

Re: 3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
Bump style rims are not period correct 3/4 ton rims. Period 3/4 ton hubcaps will not attach to your rims.If you want to run correct period hubcaps, you need clip style 8 lug rims. Clip style 8 lug rims were made in 16.5" one piece, 17.5" one piece, and 19.5" one piece ( tires still can be ordered at truck tire dealers). I will not mention the period 2 and 3 piece clip style rims, since you probably won't bother with them.

Re: 3/4 ton hubcaps...why so rare?
Would it be possible to add the clips to my rims to make a clip cap fit?
